Hi Cherubs!
I have been running for about 4 or 5 years now, its my favourite me time where I can de-stress and burn some cals! But about a month ago I started getting really bad hip and shin pain (I know bizarre) after a run. I have experienced this pain once before a few years ago and a friend mentioned it might be due to my old sad looking trainers, and she was right. Once I changed my trainers to a fresh supportive pair my pains went away.
I mostly run on the front pads of my feet so when buying new trainers I opt for soft cushioning on the mid soles but I also make sure I have quite sturdy heel support.
Hello Nike Flyknit Lunar 3! This trainer is basically everything I look for in my running shoe as stated above. The knit upper fits like a glove, comfortable and flexible and like nothing Ive ever worn before. My run is so much more enjoyable now without all that pain.
I don't think there is a specific time limit for the life of trainers as there are a lot of variables like how often you run, how far you run etc. I run 4 times a week my miles vary but to be on the safe side I'd say 18months is when they look super sad.
Nike Flyknit Lunar 3 - $150
