Hi Cherubs!
My nursery is finally finished, I'm missing a few essentials like a diaper genie (my husband doesn't think this is essential) full stock of diapers, wipes car seat and pram etc but if baby girl was born tomorrow I'd be kinda ok. Also I am fully aware she won't be using her nursery to its full potential for a fair few months but it makes me happy and thats all that matters my friends.
I am officially in my third trimester now and I wanted her room to be done so I could just chill for the next 12 weeks and not have to build a dresser or hang curtains, or make my husband do it after a long day at work. I'm gonna link absolutely everything I can below, hope you like it!
One of the hard things about living in a rented apartment is that you can't put up some fancy wallpaper or paint the walls how you like it, instead your left with beige walls and yes it looks clean and its easy work with but it just lacks personality. Honestly I'm dreaming of the day we can afford our own house where I can design the whole thing, but we live in Silicon Valley where a mediocre house will set you back a few million... I'll keep on dreaming! So one of the ways I coped with this beige situation is with some fun confetti style wall decals. I found some great options on Minted Method Shop and they definitely make the room feel more baby friendly but still chic.
Since we're not actually from America we tend to have quite a few friends and family over from the UK so we had to work with a sofa bed that was already in the room and it was out of the question to move it elsewhere. We changed out the old throw cushions and added more nursery friendly ones, I love the cloud cushion from Zoella Lifestyle and it pairs perfectly with my faux fur cloud rug from Kroma Carpets.
The room has got a loose pink and grey theme with some brass accents thanks to my purse friendly dresser knobs options from Home Depot. We also couldn't resist the baby animal prints from Minted.com, I've seen these in a few Pinterest nursery ideas and I just think they are perfect for engaging little ones. Tina the bear head is from Target and they have so many cute animal head options you are bound to find something that works with your baby's room.
