My Baby Shower

Hi Cherubs!

A little over a week ago now I had my baby shower and I'm still feeling so humbled by the love and excited for our baby girl. It was an intimate affair, my sister came over from the UK to celebrate with me and also help bring the whole thing together. I actually had a joint shower with my good friend Jenny who is 2 weeks ahead of me and expecting a baby boy. It was fun creating a non gender specific shower for the both of us and I think we did a great job. (I know I am incredibly modest) Lets get into the details, I hope you find it inspiring!
I will link everything I can at the end of the post 💗💙

My baby shower was definitely budget friendly, we rented the clubhouse that is available through our apartments and was completely free! Its such a great room for a party with a fully functioning kitchen area, dining area and lounge area. Its well lit and decorated nicely. The theme for the party was a fairly simple tea, coffee and lots of cakes and pastries.

I did bake a few things like those scrumptious plant based banana choc muffins pictured above and some plain and cheese English scones (I may live in America but I wanted to incorporate some of my fave English things!) We bought coffee from a local Starbucks (12 cup traveller with sugar and creamer included, great for parties!) I may have gone a little overboard with pastries but better to have too many! Over all I think the food was great and went down well, my husband made some food place cards which I think added a fun element to the buffet along with the confetti prints scattered throughout.

Target has some great table decor and matching plates. I adored the confetti print and its very gender neutral too so it worked well for the joint baby shower. I also couldn't resist the gold cutlery, chic chic chic!

I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who attended and made it so special. Also to my husband who wouldn't let me lift a finger, he's a good egg!
